SSA Program Overview

The Special Service Area (SSA) is an economic development tool that utilizes the levy of the real estate property tax in raising funds to provide special services for a targeted area. Property owners choose to tax themselves in order to provide these services. The services funded through the SSA tax are in addition to services generally provided by the City. These services must predominantly benefit those properties that are located within the boundaries of the SSA. Examples of special services include: sidewalk maintenance and beautification, landscaping, advertising and marketing, business recruitment/retention, parking, and safety programs.LA Pressure Washing

Get Involved with the Lincoln Avenue SSA!

The Lincoln Avenue SSA is always looking for community participation. There are many different levels of involvement to fit your schedule.

  1. Share your thoughts on the SSA #35 annual survey about the issues and initiatives that are important to the Lincoln Avenue community.
  2. Become a Commissioner and oversee the funds, progams and services provided by the SSA.
  3. Join our email list to be notified of Commission meetings and news.
  4. Become a Condo or Block leader and help spread the word about the SSA to your friends and neighbors.
